Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau

Technical University of Applied Sciences Wildau – TH Wildau – is the largest technical university of applied sciences in the state of Brandenburg. It is situated within 30 minutes by train next to the German capital city Berlin. Established in 1991, TH Wildau has today about 3,300 students, almost one fourth of them coming from outside Germany. Nationwide, it is one of the universities of applied sciences with the highest third-party funding. In recent years, third-party funding has consistently exceeded 10 million Euro, a significant contribution to the university budget to support its scientists in carrying out their research. TH Wildau has three prominent research foci: applied life sciences, information technology/telematics, and optical technologies/photonics. In addition, TH Wildau specializes in the research fields of production and materials, transport and logistics, and management and law.

We are actively involved in EU projects. In addition to traditional programs such as Erasmus+ and Horizon Europe, we are particularly proud to be one of the first universities of applied sciences to participate in a Pathfinder project. We also coordinate the EDIH pro_digital project in the region, a one-stop-shop for start-ups, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), mid-caps and state organizations in Brandenburg.
