Research

In addition to successes in study and teaching, Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development Eberswalde is known for its successful research. As one of Germany’s strongest research universities, we work with numerous regional and international partners – a network which was expanded for the long-term in recent years. The university’s campus location in Eberswalde is embedded in a successful network of science, business, administration and politics in the region. This implements the principle of global responsibility in the local environment.
Research at Eberswalde University for Sustainable Development follows the principles of sustainability and focusses on the research priorities Sustainable rural development; Sustainable production and use of natural products; as well as on Sustainable management of limited resources (HRK Research Map “Key Research Priorities”).
The three research priorities are on the one hand science-, social science- and environmental science-, on the other hand engineering science- and economic science-orientated. As a consequence the HNEE can offer suitable research and transfer offers in all three pillars.
